God will Surely Visit You

And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence. Genesis 50:25 KJV

These are Joseph’s last words. He passed on at a hundred and ten. Paul reports in Heb.11:22 that by faith he gave directions concerning his bones. His wish was fulfilled in Joshua 24:32, when he was buried in Shechem after about 179 years in a coffin. Joseph was very concerned on the fact that God will visit His people. God does not abandon his own for ever. Here is a prophetic support from Isaiah: ” Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me”.
(Isa.49:15‭-‬16 KJV). No matter what silences you are experiencing, be comforted that God will never abandon you. He may be quiet for a moment. Eric Yeakel in a blog post calls our attention to the 400 years of silence between the old testament and the new, yet Christ still came. Then he says that at such moments, God is rearranging the stage behind the scenes. Joseph knew that God would surely visit His people. He wanted to be in the center of events, so he told them severally to carry his bones hence. Does God appear silent in your case? Is it appearing to take time? He will surely visit you. Take it to the bank!
