In 1988, a Nigerian novelist wrote an award winning novel on the above title. Its a chronicle of facts and fiction. The story covers events in Nigeria’s first one hundred years. Its a season marked by violence, coup d’ state and uprisings. No one liked the outcome. In this story, the outcome is better. Jacob traces all the life tragedies he had experienced, and reached a conclusion: all things are against me. If you follow Jacobs narrative, you will agree with him. I heard my pastor, Rev Simeon Afolabi said one time that this was when things were really working for him, not against him. For the first time in years, Joseph has been found. Their money was returned to show they don’t need to struggle anymore for food. Very soon they will be united as a family again. My Pastor calls it Divine Perspective. Until you have a divine perspective, you will think all are against you. Its darkest just an hour before dawn. Don’t you worry, the sun is rising again. Even if the darkness protests, the sun is on your path. You held on through the dark seasons. Keep holding in Gods strength, because its just before dawn. Good morning.
