On Sept.1,2023, our vignette was on the Secrets of Blessings through service. We didn’t have space to mention that there are still rewards that accompany people who serve. There’s a difference between the two. Here’s a simple differentiation. ” …reward is something of value given in return for an act while blessing is some kind of divine or supernatural aid… ”. Blessings are invisible spiritual adornments given by God to His children for obedience. Rewards are are payments for what we accomplish for God. In Mat.19:27, Peter called the attention of Jesus to the fact that they left all to work with him. The reply of Jesus in Mat.19:28-30 is the subject today. There’s a reward for serving God and others. Those soldiers left all to help their brethren settle. Now they are returning with rewards. They paid the price, and they got paid. Those who didn’t go with them, were blessed, but not rewarded. Read the verses again. It would have taken them years of struggle to get what they got. Now they return retarded. Which pathway do you prefer? The choice is really yours.

Rewards For Service
…and he spake unto them, saying, Return with much riches unto your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver, and with gold, and with brass, and with iron, and with very much raiment: divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren. And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go unto the country of Gilead, to the land of their possession, whereof they were possessed, according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
