The Institution of the Seventh Day ?

Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the Lord: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death. Exodus 35:2 KJV

The interpretation of this verse has caused so much divisions among Christians.. It aught not be so if we are familiar with the New Testament injunction. Here is Rom.14:5 : ” One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind ”. If you choose to have church on Wednesday, it does not bother me, so long as you are doing it right. In that chapter Paul shared a strategy for unity. The other side of the argument has been that Christ did not rise on Sunday, which many people claim as the Lords day. In Speech Analysis, we were taught to look for the subtext of a delivery, not just the words. Assuming we agree, that it wasn’t three full days, that is not the subtext. The subtext is that He arose. Even the devil is silent about that. The devils initial attempt to spread rumours that Jesus did not resurrect died a natural death. In my village we have a proverb that says it is wrong to leave the masquerade to attack your brother just because the masquerade walked like him. This attack should be to the masquerade. The deal is that Jesus Christ arose from the death. Worship God every day and every where. All days of the week were named after some god or another. Capture any day and declare it the Lords day. It will be.
