When the people rose to play for their hand fashioned god, the report reached heaven. Don’t be deceived, no one needs to catch or report you. The eyes of the Lord runs to and fro the whole earth( 2Chron.16:9 ). The people had corrupted themselves and moved into idolatry, so God disowned them. He called them Moses’s people, not His people. Adam Clarke reports that because they had broken the covenant, they were no longer eligible for Gods protection and love. I’m just wondering how many times in the recent days have we behaved like this. Leadership failed them. Valerie Patterson in Global Encyclopedia of Public Administration calls our attention to the modern implications of Leadership failures. She describes it as ”When negative unintended consequences occur as a result of mistakes, errors, ignorance, lack of expertise, flawed communication, and inability to lead”. She observes that the unintended consequences can have a minor or major impact on the organization being led, the public being served, and the surrounding internal and external environment. In some situations, the failures can lead to death and have a long term catastrophic impact”. She was not making a Bible Commentary. She was just examining when leadership fails. Mat.23:16 call such leaders blind guides. May your generation be better in Jesus Name.

The Report of Leadership Failure in Heaven
And the Lord said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
