When Dagon Had Morning Altar

When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon. And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again. God can fight His battles. He is God. By carrying the ark to the house of Dagon, the Philistines were placing Jehovah on the same pedestal as Dagon. That was wrong. The created had to bow in the early morning prayers to the creator. That they had to put Dagon back should have been enough lesson., but they continued. So God did what will make them understand. Dragon lost its head, hands and palms. Now the lesson reached home. They had to scramble where to keep the ark. God can fight His battles. In your particular situation, call on God to show up for war. He knows how to do it beyond human expectations. God can do the impossible, including making inanimate things show up for the family altar. After this incident, a holy fear entered the very soul of Philistines. It took a long time for them to recover. God is standing by if you dare to call him as Lord.
