Diffusing the Crises

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭26:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬ [22] And David answered and said, Behold the king’s spear! and let one of the young men come over and fetch it. [25] Then Saul said to David, Blessed be thou, my son David: thou shalt both do great things, and also shalt still prevail. So David went on his way, and Saul returned to his place.

There is a way to talk that will diffuse a crises. David was versed in it. If he did not return the spear, all his talk would have been empty. Ceasing that spear was the climax. Retaining it would have sparked a major catastrophe. A battle would have been fought, just for the return of the Kings Spear. The devil is a master in set ups. What helps every child of God is the ability to follow the way of peace. The History channel reports how the first world war started ” World War I, also known as the Great War, started in 1914 after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. His murder catapulted into a war across Europe that lasted until 1918”. Someone couldn’t return the spear. They broke it. So ” for four years, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire (the Central Powers) fought against Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Canada, Japan and the United States (the Allied Powers)”. You may read up on the cause of the second world war. It is always that someone refuses to return the spear. The Bible enjoins us to follow what makes for peace ( Rom. 14:19 ). Prov.3:17 explains that ways of obeying the word will produce pleasantness and peace. Does your action complicate crises or make them confess like Saul? You have nothing to prove to anyone. Follow peace with all men.
