Pursue To Recover

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭30:8‭-‬9‬ ‭KJV‬‬ [8] And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. [9] So David went, he and the six hundred men that were with him, and came to the brook Besor, where those that were left behind stayed.

The following words are accredited to Mario Andreti. ” Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal – a commitment to excellence – that will enable you to attain the success you seek”. Andreti was not with David, but he appears to capture the thinking in Davids mind. The goal was to get their wives and children back. He already had Gods support to pursue. Some men were tired, but not the leader. If the leader is tired, so will the vision. Christian Herald says that, ” A discovery of vision and its pursuit is the gateway to the actualization of our glorious destiny in Christ. Equally very vital is the place of divine guidance …” David had both. The result was meant to be: recover all. Most people get frustrated by the antics of the devil. Pursuit is the keyword. I know you’ve done it for ten years. Do it one more time. Some may fall off or even get tired, don’t blame them. Its your vision. David didn’t quarrel with those left at Brook Besor. He understood that it is weighty to pursue. Today, I’d like to encourage you. You may feel the weight, keep pursuing. Recovery is at the end of the pursuit. And, there will be rewards.
