Understood Boundaries

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭26:8‭-‬9‬ ‭KJV‬‬ [8] Then said Abishai to David, God hath delivered thine enemy into thine hand this day: now therefore let me smite him, I pray thee, with the spear even to the earth at once, and I will not smite him the second time. [9] And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD’s anointed, and be guiltless?

We have spoken about boundaries in several of our previous posts. It will make a good adventure to find and read them. In February, 20th, 2015, Femi Bakare reported profound statements by our Pastor, Simeoy Afolabi. ” God is the Author of Boundaries, while Satan plants barriers. Boundaries are meant for our safety barriers are designed to limit us. Whenever we break boundaries, we are confronted with barriers that we may never be able to handle. Happy are those who know the difference between boundaries and barriers”. The implications of that quote are deep. We must know what we are confronting. If David had agreed to do anything to Saul, he would have turned his struggles against a spiritual barrier. To escape the enemy, David told his assistant you do not do anything against the anointed of the Lord. Don’t forget that the real anointed at this time was David. Notice the depth of respect he had for Saul. David rebuked his assistant and explained that God knows how to handle his removal. David was right. Every great leader must learn and teach the secret of boundaries to his followers. There’s perhaps no better way than to demonstrate it in our daily decisions. What are your boundaries as a leader? Here is someone’s answer to that question. ” Defining your boundaries means that you define where you want to place your energy and attention, how you want to work with others. It is also about what is important to you. ” This why David succeeded. Now, its your turn.
