Divine Decrees

There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil. Exodus 23:26 KJV

There’s is this political commentator on a Network television in Nigeria. He said there was a difference between the leaders who initiated the Nigerian independence, and those who took over after the first coup. The later leaders, he contends, had experienced the military leadership by decrees. So they unconsciously wished to continue the pattern. That has thrown the country into a struggle to redefine democracy. That made meaning. God is not a democrat. The first coup in heaven was thoroughly put out. He is divine. His ruler ship is Kingdom mode. So God can issue divine decrees. A decree is an official order that has the force of law. It is usually issued by someone in a position of legal authority. What you’ve just read in the verse above is a writ of execution from the Courts of heaven. This writ is final. It is an extension of yesterday’s blessings. God does not grant the enemy room for miscarriages or infertility. Yes that’s right. God adds to it a provision for long full lives. Long life was a good provision in the old testament, but the new testament eternal life is preferred. Honouring ones parents today is still a proviso for long life. ( Eph.6:3-4; John3:16 ). It will be a waste to live long on earth and not have eternal life. Eternal life begins with your salvation. Don’t give up on that.
