For The Love Of Philistine Women

And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah…..And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee. Judges 16:4‭, ‬6 KJV

There are men like this who think they must go out of the fold to marry unbelievers, contrary to the word of God. This is the third woman Samson is interested in. The truth is that you won’t know better then God. Amos 3:3 asks the question: Can two walk together except they be agreed? The agreement begins with what we believe. Samson appear casual with the worship of Jehovah. This attitude is indicative of Samson’s character flaw. In literature, a character is known by what he does what he says, and by what others say about him. Samson has consistently demonstrated interest in Philistine girls. And for this, he will pay dearly with his life. You see, at this time Samson was cohabiting with this Delilah girl he had not married. That girl became the open edge for the enemy to enter into his life. You can’t be a Christian, but choose to live on your terms. The terms for christian living is in the word of God. Any other frame is religion. This Nazarite compromised his faith. When he thought that he could rise like usual to destroyed the enemy, he found out that the anointing had departed. Its a tragic end for our folk hero. He lost it on the laps of a woman. How many are still loosing it today? May God preserve your generation. Amen.
