After they were confronted by Joseph, they quickly got together to rewrite their family history. They brought a complication upon themselves by mentioning Benjamin, last born of Jacob. Complications introduce new problems into the conflict, setting of sequence of interesting events. When Joseph swore on Pharaoh, they are convinced beyond reasonable doubt that their past has caught up with them. What your salvation does is to change these parameters by introducing you to the truth. So long as you continue lying, you will continue loosing. For once they are willing to tell the truth. That is what Christ came to be for us: the way, the truth and the life( John 14:6 ). Someone said that the truth is like the sun. You may shut it out for a time, but it is not going away. Lying will increase your complications, the truth will set you free. They had only one chance of redemption, to tell the truth. They did. What about you?
