The I Am: Divine Nature 2

And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. Exodus 3:15 KJV

We started a few days ago with the name that God gave to Moses. The Name means the self existent one. Scholars call it Tetragramaton. In Egypt, there was a pantheon of gods for different aspects of life. It was needful for Moses to ask the question. The answer will tell the difference between Jehovah and the rest. Bethany Verret says that when God gave a name for his people to call him, it conveyed his dominion over all things, the source of his power, and his eternal nature. When we understand the weight in the revelation of that name today, it will affirm for us the identity of Jesus as the son of God. Only Jesus could carry the weight of that name. Of all the pantheons of names on earth, who do you subscribe to? Is your His self existent or was it created somewhere in history? You are the only one to answer the question.
