Don’t Just Change The Atmosphere

Let our Lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well. In the Old Testament, they knew that changing the atmosphere to that of praise and worship will keep the devil at bay. It is still the case today. The enemy can’t stand it. So they recommended a harp player to be around and play for Saul whenever he was under the oppression. By then Christ had not died, so no one was empowered to cast the devil out. In Medicine, Doctors call such therapy symptomatic treatment. It is what is done that ” …eases the symptoms without addressing the basic cause of the disease”. In the New Testament, we are empowered treat the cause as there are signs that follow a believer in Mat.16:17-18. We cast out devils. At that time, they recommended worship on the harp. So David was brought. Isaiah had prophesied that it will take the garment of praise to lift the atmosphere of heaviness( Isa.61:3 ). Jesus preached that as his first message. David caught the secret and stated it in Psa.8:2. Jesus quoted it at the triumphal entry. Praise is a powerful weapon to route the enemy. What do you do when the enemy makes the attempt to change the atmosphere in you home. Praise, worship, and route the enemy permanently.
