Picked From the Field

And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he. Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah. 1 Samuel 16:12‭-‬13 KJV

Your location has been described as being essential to our becoming in life. In marketing, it is one of the corner stones of success. In 2015, Sam Hunsu wrote a powerful sermon on this in Sermon Central. ” Your location determines how far and how fast you move in life. One of the master keys to success in life is being at the right place at the right time, right day, right year and with the right people”. I’m in awe today about how God will shift principles just to bless us. David was not in what might have been considered the right location. He was in the field, but the field was the will of God. Being in God’s will trumps location, because your location will become the location. He was brought from the field to the location of anointing. You’re not lost where you are. God is designing a movement to take you to your place of honour. While location is in order, being in the will is excellent. The problem would have been if he was missing in the field. Many have lost opportunities in life because they didn’t wait for their invitation to the place of anointing. When he left the field that day, everything appeared the same. Keep the pressure. The difference between tepid and hot water is just a degree. One of this days, it will be your turn. Read the script. God restored his brethren who did not want him, then He anointed him in their midst. Thank you Lord!
