And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. And all Israel from Dan even to Beer-sheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD.

The phrase used in this title is from Psa.108:9. Its an apt description of the transition from Eli to Samuel. Be conscious of the fact that in the race of life, God can raise someone else to do what you are currently doing, and perhaps, do it better. While God can release blessings through the descendants, God is not bound to wait for unreasonable children who are not willing to cooperate with His agenda. When Elisha died with a double portion of Elijah’s anointing, God sent a dead man to go to the grave and retrieve the mantle( 1Kings13:20 ). God does not waste His oil. In this case, God allowed Samuel to walk into the Priests office without a blood relationship to the Priesthood. So Samuel grew and God was with him. That is all you need to operate in any calling. Read Benny Hin’s, Mysteries of the Anointing. The recognition of people is simply a stamp of the anointing that was on him. Num.11:16-17 shows that God can take of the spirit from one man and transfer to another. Proximity and humility appear to be primary requirements.
