The Lord Appeared Again
There is nothing so devastating as when a generation has lost Gods presence. Whenever God appears, He makes the entry a revelation of Himself. The more the revelation, the better the people are blessed. However when the heaven is stayed the people may experience religious routines without blessings. So when the word announces that the Lord appeared again in Shiloh, it was more than just a theophany. It was the word of the Lord made real to the people. Now you understand why people flocked to Shiloh. Today people still flock to the revelation of Gods word. The word does not only give direction, the word is quick, and powerful, sharper than two edged sword( Heb.4:12 ). It can penetrate the depths of our being and cause a transformation beyond human understanding. The Good News Translation adds that when Samuel spoke, all Israel listened. The word now had integrity. Processes were secondary, a new season had emerged. We call it revival. Revival is simply a fresh visit of Gods presence. Does the word have value where you are?
