Leadership Signals For Competitive Advantage

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. Numbers 10:1‭-‬2 KJV

You need to be conscious that throughout all these times, Mose’s consultant in administration and government, his father in law, is still with them, journeying and showing them the way through the wilderness. His organisational suggestions are here improved by God. In this chapter, God releases signals for the gathering of the people, the leaders and for movements. A cultural change is being moulded in our presence. In 2019, Jeff Grimshaw and colleagues released a book, titled ” Five Leadership Signals ” that addresses what is happening here. In a review, Skip Prichard had this to say about the book: ” The leaders who turn culture into competitive advantage do that by transmitting strong and steady signals on Five Frequencies:

Their decisions and actions

What they reward and recognize

What they tolerate (or don’t)

How they show up informally

Their formal communications

You would think they picked their thesis from the book of Numbers. Its worth reading. A wrong cultural practice will put leadership and an entire community at risk. God knew that, and gave them schedules of how to lead and move. Group leaders are appointed, and Moses is learning. Jesus had the twelve, the initial leaders who were willing to die like their master. What about you? Who are you raising for the next cultural change?
