The Foreknowledge of God

And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. Exodus 14:13 KJV

You cant speak like this unless you’ve been with God. Or rather you understand Gods foreknowledge. Our concern here is not Moses but God knowing the end from beginning. In Greek, foreknowledge is ”prognosis”. That means knowing things before they happen. God is by nature omniscient. Nothing takes him by surprise. If you’ve followed us thus far, you will know that Pharaoh woke up in regrets as to letting Israel go. So he mobilised a squadron after them. In leadership, it pays to hear and be led by the Spirit of God. When Moses made the statement above, it showed clearly he knew God. Read that again, and imagine the pressure from rebellious members and the mixed multitude. Mose’s ability to be consistent is because of his relationship with God. Gods foreknowledge declares that nothing is hidden from Him( Isa.42:9). Paul says that God foreknew and predestined you to conform to the image of His son( Rom8:29). Peter says we are chosen according to Gods foreknowledge( I Pet.1:2). When Moses told them to stand still, he demonstrated faith in the foreknowledge of God. God knows your case. It nay look like the enemy may overcome you. Stand still. God is about to burst on you. He is coming with His salvation in His hands. God! I feel that. Did you? He will never let you down, even when it looks like it. He always has a way around it. Take that to the bank.
