The Need For Change Management

And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. Leviticus 26:5 KJV

Yesterday we examined what will happen when we obey God. Well, God is not yet done with us. Let’s attempt to take the promises one after the other, if possible. The metaphor of today’s blessing is uttered from a farmers perspective. Until you understand the language, the meaning may be lost in utterance. The phrases used are, ” threshing season ”, ” grape gathering season ”, or vintage( the year wine is produced) and ” planting season.” The word seasons indicates the process of change. Beyond the agricultural phrase, God is saying: You need to change along with your management skills to get the next level blessings because it can’t be contained in a season. John Lily says that our only security is change. Think about that for a moment. That’s what we’ve done all our lives. Change is a transformation from a stage to a better one. That transformation will only be possible with the help of God because this is not modification. The change required is deep and intrinsic. When people do not appear to last in the change they profess, its because it was not intrinsic enough. In the New Testament, the Holy Spirit helps in this change, then we learn the management skills to adapt to change. The process is not as simple as that sentence. We wish we could do a whole book on this. We have to die from one season to acquire the next. That is why people are afraid of change, the need to die. Well I’ve got good news for you. Every time a season appears to have finished, don’t worry, a new season will emerge. They will look for you again. The money will come. God is orchestrating the plans. All you have to do is obey God. Hallelujah!
