Peace Given By God !
We dealt with the Covenant of peace in Sept.12, 2020. That post is worth revisiting. Today we are told of Gods ability to give peace. That is an emphatic first person rendition, ” I will give you peace ”. God is here declaring himself as the source of peace. That is why He is called Jehovah Shalom: that is the God of peace. When the daily news is considered, you will know that the world is in need of peace. Peace is freedom from disturbances. It is a state of tranquility and security. Throughout scripture there is a dearth of peace on the lives of men. God has Aldo consistently declared that He will give us peace.( Col.3:15; Psa. 29:11; Philip.4:7; Eph.2:14 ). When there’s no peace, violence and other vices of the devil hold sway. Today we are reminded that as we obey God, peace is one of the things we benefit from Him. Gods peace is an assurance that everything will turn out for our good, no matter how much the devil has defaced the story. Its an assurance for us to take the next day in great strides knowing fully well that the beasts will not always win; the dangers will not be there forever. There is coming today a tranquil moment, when you will recall: ” If it hadn’t been for the Lord…”. Today I celebrate this peace with you. Jesus Christ is the Prince of peace. Receive the peace of God today.
