The Secrets of Assistants

And the Lord said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee. And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone. Numbers 11:16‭-‬17 KJV

Assistants are not opposition leaders. They share the same burden and spirit with their leaders. VV 10-14 shows Moses’s burden and the pains of leadership. Samuel Chand has done some work on the subject of Leadership Pain. This is what he says: ”Pain is a part of progress. Anything that grows experiences some pain. If I avoid all pain, I’m avoiding growth”. When leadership is painful, we cry like Moses for help. That’s how assistants are birthed. God understood his problem. Note the fact that Moses picked these assistants, but God puts Moses’s spirit upon them. No assistant can function effectively without the spirit of the leader. The twelve carried the spirit of the master, so they saw demons bow before them. Whose spirit does your assistants carry? We are in a generation where assistants carry a different spirit from that of their masters. That’s why there are many splinter groups. Splinter groups are not necessarily visions, but different spirits. Until there’s an alignment of spirits, there can’t be an alignment of visions. May your pains carry you to seek out the best assistants that will run with you.
