The Wind From the Lord

And there went forth a wind from the Lord, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day’s journey on this side, and as it were a day’s journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth. Numbers 11:31 KJV

There’s nothing so beautiful as when the word of the Lord is fulfilled. Moses must have talked about this for days on end. The wind brought quails. We’ve already discussed the details of the quails journey. Quails are small ground nesting birds. Gods wind brought them to this desert away from their normal flight route. Consider the fact that this same wind can blow in favour, help, healing, or any other blessing where there appear to be no help. It may even be in a place that current prophets have written you off. That’s when its sweet for God to show up so you will understand that He rules in the affairs of men. Jesus was born in a manger, yet the Magi came from the east to honour him. If your help requires help from heads of states or governors, the very God we serve is well able to send us the needful help. The only snag in this help is that they demanded these things by the lust of the mixed multitude. So while they thought to really enjoy the meat, God showed up for discipline. The wind from the Lord can bless, but it can also curse. Its like a double edged sword that blesses and disciplines. Don’t let lust dictate your relationship with God or with anyone else. Lust does not serve the purpose of God.
