This is the Finger of God

And the Lord said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt. Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said. Exodus 8:16‭, ‬19 KJV

This is the third plague. The Hebrew word used here for lice is ”Kinnim”. Some have said that it denotes gnats, others say it’s ticks, not lice. Whatever it was, it was Gods third judgement on Egypt and its gods. John Kakas says, ” The gods that protected the earth for the Egyptians were Geb and Nuith. Through the plague of lice, God had made the judgement, that their gods, people, land and animals were unclean, and one of the chief gods, ra was blind..” Now God also brought their god of magic to no effect. The magicians had reach their end. There is an extent that God will allow corruption to imitate His real power. They confessed that this was actually the finger of God at work. That phrase is used about four times in the scripture, three times in the old testament and once in the new. It is the awesome display of the power of God on earth. In Ex.31:18, the law is written by the finger of God. In Luke 11:20 Jesus says he delivered the blind mute by the fingers of God. The parallel passage in Mat.12:28 uses the Spirit of God. That implies its the same power that release the lice. That power is available for God to interfere in the operations of any Pharaoh in your life. Call on the fingers of God.
