You can’t Do it Alone: Delegate.

And Moses’ father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good. Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone. Exodus 18:17‭-‬18 KJV

So Jethro continued in the free college for Moses without all the jargons of leadership. Clemson Turregano has a book titled; Delegating Effectively. I suspect he must have looked over Jethro’s shoulder when he wrote on ‘Why Delegate’. ” In today’s organizations, leaders are neither able nor expected to do everything themselves. The consequences of trying to do so can include burnout, missed datelines, working long hours, being stretched too thin, and lacking proper skills needed to complete a particular task”. You would be shocked at the number of leaders who have derailed because of lack of delegation. Our guest says such derailment may include being fired, demoted or reaching a career plateau. Note that the devil is not once mentioned here dear Christians. So, Jethro was suggesting more productive ways for Moses to relate to the people.
In Mat.28:18-20, Jesus laid the ground rules for delegation. Jesus spent three years and raised people who were willing to die for the faith. The long range goal was for them to become fishers of men. ( Mat.4:19 ). Jesus delegated power along with the duties(Mat.10:1-5). Take the stress out of your leadership. Delegate. Share the burdens with you team.
