Airborne Contact Dermatitis

And the Lord said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh. And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt. Exodus 9:8‭-‬9 KJV

This is the sixth plague. The ashes of the furnace became boils and blains. There is little idea what this disease was, but it was so severe that the magicians could not stand before Pharaoh. Some have described it as swellings especially at the most delicate parts of the body like the neck, armpits and the groin. In an article in Maedica,journal of Medicine, September,2019, the authors have made attempts to describe the disease from its causative agents: soot and dust. They think it was an airborne contact dermatitis. The judgment here on man and beast was towards their gods of health- (Sekhmet, Sunu, and Isis) . Isnt it surprising to see the wickedness of a hardened heart? God was not yet done. He is not done in your case. It may appear long, but God is still in charge. The cumulative effects will soon show. Be patient. God is on your side. When He is done, you will come forth as gold.
