The Lords Discipline
God created man. God also instituted discipline as a form of deterrent from waywardness. In fact, Gods discipline is instituted as a part of life’s internal laws. You cannot consistently do the wrong and expect a blessing in the end. Its the law of sowing and reaping. Here is the law as exoressed by someone I have great respect for : ” Sowing and reaping is also a law of the spiritual world. It is more than just an agricultural principle. It is an axiom of life that we reap what we sow. Galatians 6:7 says, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” There are natural consequences to our actions. The world operates under the law of cause and effect. There is no way around it: every time we choose an action, we also choose the consequences of that action. ” The truth is that we choose the consequences we want in life. That choice was made every time the people of Israel choose to murmur against God or their leaders. The arrival of the serpent is only a consequence. Here is Gal.6:8 ” For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. ” The issue is not that things happen to us, but that we are careful what we do in life because consequences are controlled by the seed. Sow good seeds today.
